CPT Outdoor Series - Abseiling 1

Keen to build confidence outside? Whether you’re learning the ropes or brushing up on essential systems, our Outdoor Skills Series at CityROCK Cape Town is designed to help you climb outdoors safely and confidently.

This session is run by Allister and takes place from 7-9pm in the gym. 

Participants will receive a 15% off code to use on Mountain Mail Order or in-store at the CityROCK Gear Shop, to get kitted for the workshops.

Workshop Schedule:

Each workshop runs twice due to popular demand and limited spots, so if one date's full, grab the other.

• 8 September | 7-9pm: Cleaning 1
• 10 September |7-9pm: Cleaning 2​
• 15 September | 7-9pm: Abseiling 1
• 17 September | 7-9pm: Abseiling 2
• 19 September | 9am-3pm: Kleinmond Crag Day
• 22 September | 7-9pm: Multi-pitching 1
• 29 September | 7-9pm: Multi-pitching 2

Abseiling requirements:

• Top Rope Tag 
• Personal Anchor System or two slings with locking carabiners
• One locking carabiner with belay device that can take two ropes
• One locking carabiner with prusik loop
